Who We Are
Director and practising Occupational Therapist, Vicky Ruffle graduated from the University of Southampton in 2002 with a BSc Hons in Occupational Therapy. Since 2003, she has been providing specialised assessment and therapy in the area of paediatrics and is an Advanced Sensory Integration Practitioner and is Bobath trained.
Vicky has worked at Chailey Heritage Clinical Services – providing assessment and therapy for children and young people who have profound and multiple disabilities, Child Development Centre in Brighton and Hove, The Children's Trust at Tadworth - specialising in acquired brain injuries, East Sussex Education Authority – Setting up a service and facilitating children to access their education either in mainstream and special needs schools.
Occupational Therapist, Kaye Johnson, has worked with children and young people for many years and is a sensory integration trained OT. Kaye has worked in the NHS as well as an independent special needs school.
Occupational Therapist, Hannah Goldberg, graduated from Brighton University in 2011 with a BSc Hons in Occupational Therapy and is a trained Sensory Integration practitioner . Hannah has experience working with children and young people in an independent special needs school and prior to this, spent many years working for the NHS in acute physical health and neurological inpatient settings.
Occupational Therapist, Naomi Trowbridge, has a post-graduate qualification from the University of Brighton and is also currently studying towards a Masters qualification. Additionally, Naomi is trained in Sensory Integration and Sensory Attachment Intervention.
Naomi has gained experience working with children and young people at an independent special needs school and also has worked in social services, orthopaedics, intermediate care and mental health departments.
Vanessa Southgate qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2000 with a post-graduate diploma from the University of Brighton and is a fully trained Sensory Integration practitioner and trained in Sensory Attachment Intervention.
Vanessa has gained experience working in a variety of settings, primarily at a specialist school and college for children and young people with autism and autistic spectrum conditions.
Kellie is a fully qualified and passionate Occupational Therapist, experienced in paediatrics, Sensory Integration, mental health, moving and handling and physical settings.
Kellie has specialised experience working within children's therapy. Specifically she has gained practical knowledge working with children and young adults diagnosed with physical disabilities, epilepsy, autism, Aspergers, coordination disorders, neurological difficulties and sensory processing difficulties.
Katy Kitson is a qualified Occupational Therapist with over 7 years experience. Katy has recently returned to practice following a career break to raise her family.
Katy graduated from Brighton University with a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational and has recently completed her advanced training in Sensory Integration.
Occupational Therapist, Carla Lauren, graduated from Brighton University with BSc Hons in Occupational Therapy and is trained in Sensory Integration and Sensory Attachment Intervention.
Carla has experience working with children and young people in a variety of settings including; within the NHS in community paediatric teams in England and Wales and within special needs and mainstream schools as an individual therapist as well as part of multidisciplinary teams.
